Portsmouth-based Coast Guard cutter returns The Coast Guard cutter Northland has completed a two-month patrol off the coast of Haiti. The Northland returned to Portsmouth on Thursday. During the deployment, the Coast Guard says the Northland aided two Haitian merchant vessels that were adrift. The cutter also transported more than 1,200 pounds of cocaine worth $19 million that had been seized.
