• Carver middle schooler is a champion bull rider
  There aren’t a whole lot of rodeo riders east of the Mississippi, and even fewer who are still in middle school. Cody Hamilton, 14, of Carver is both. A high honors eighth-grade student at Carver Middle School, Cody has been rodeo riding since he was 5. He is competing this week and next in the National Junior High finals in Gallup, N.M., against 400 young rodeo riders from across the country.
