• Lubbock band works to raise money for Tornado victims
  Wednesday night, the Penni Lawrence Band will hold a special fundraising event at Abuelo's Restaurant. They'll be performing for free, but they're hoping those who attend the event will also donate to the American Red Cross.

  Abuelo's Mexican restaurant, 4401 82nd St., will host a benefit today, June 12, from 3 p.m. to closing, for the Red Cross to help the victims of the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma. The Penni Lawrence Band will perform in the courtyard from 6 p.m.
