West Nile Confirmed in Abilene Mosquitoes trapped in northeast Abilene have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV). The mosquitoes were collected July 9. The Texas Department of State Health Services Arbovirus Laboratory in Austin notified the City's Environmental Health Division of the positive test result today.
