    Zoo veterinary staff diagnosed Kanzu's fracture using x-rays after noting the 7-year-old monkey was not using her left leg. Bronson orthopedic surgeons Dr. Amy Woznick and Dr. Josh Ellwitz repaired the leg with a metal plate and screws.
