A Journal News editorial: Review communication in Playland melee When the dust clears and the inevitable inquiries are concluded into the melee at Playland Amusement Park that erupted over rules barring Muslim patrons from wearing their traditional head covering on certain rides, it is hard to imagine findings that do not point to communication lapses — certainly by organizers of the 3,000-person outing, and perhaps by park staff as well.
