• Homefix: Arrows on floor joists indicate bowed wood
  Q: I took your advice and inspected my crawl space. The crawl space is dry, but I noticed almost all the floor joists had arrows drawn on the side with the arrow pointing to the rooms above. Why are the boards marked? None of the wood I found at the lumberyard was marked like this.
