    Bartlesville Fire Department rescued a communications company worker from atop a mechanical lift Wednesday afternoon at Nowata Road and Oakdale Drive. The man was stuck 20 feet off the ground after the device shifted and fell against a utility pole around 4:30 p.m., BFD Assistant Chief Bill Hollander said. Firefighters used an extension-ladder truck to bring the stranded worker safely down.
