  1. Vermilion garbage collection back to normal

    After several weeks of running behind, Vermilion Parish Solid Waste is now back on schedule with its garbage collection. Officials say they normally run eight trucks on their routes. However, Solid Waste says they have been running only four trucks over the last few weeks due to repairs. Seven of the eight trucks are now up and running, allowing garbage services to return to normal.
