    Gem County fire crews responded to a fire near Chaparral Road and Highway 16 at 4:50 p.m. today. The fire is near the county line. Traffic is being re-routed on alternative routes due to a road closure. About 10 acres are on fire. This is near the same area that burned last year about this time.
