  1. Bermudian Springs tax hike is lower than planned

    Bermudian Springs property owners will see a smaller tax increase than was initially proposed by school district officials last month. The school board recently approved the district's 2013-14 budget, which included a 1.15 percent tax increase instead of the 2.30 percent hike the board proposed in May.

    Bermudian Spring's newest principal graduated from the high school and became a teacher in the district as soon as she graduated college. Faithe Rotz was unanimously approved as the new elementary school assistant principal at Tuesday night's school board meeting.
