About reoccurring vs recurring
Drop one 'c' and the 'o' when the event occurs and then occurs again. Don't write reoccurring, for that's not a word at all. Instead, drop one 'c' and the 'o' and write recurring. When your boss says to you, " Make sure this mistake doesn't reoccur," tell her, "You meant recur, did you not?"
