Repel means to ward off a malignant influence or attack. It also means to turn someone away from a right, privilege, job etc. It is to reject and put off a request or demand.

Repulse is the act of repulsing or the state of being repulsed which entertains refusal and rejection. It is to repel, drive back, reject, rebuff an idea, decision or option.
"My decision to move in with you repulsed with my parents, they disagreed against it."
