remuneration or renumeration

Remuneration means something given in exchange of goods and services rendered. Like a payment of work done in form of salaries and wages.

Remuneration is money paid for work or a service.

“Darshan received a generous remuneration for his work on the project.” 

People often reverse the ‘m’ and ‘n’ in the middle, resulting in the word ‘renumeration’. This word is seldom used, and it simply means the action of number something again.

“It took a long time to do the renumeration of the pages after they were scanned.”
