RI students now required to pass NECAP test; waivers possible The school department will rewrite its rules for graduates as soon as the Rhode Island Department of Education rewrites theirs, School Committee members decided Tuesday. The committee met Tuesday with Mary Ann Snider, an administrator with RIDE, about the state’s plans to require all graduates in 2014 to pass the state’s NECAP test (New England Comprehensive Assessment Program).
