acrossed vs across :

acrossed vs across

acrossed or across

Across means that which lies between two points of interest or on opposites sides either at or near the far end of a point.

"On my way back from school, I saw Mum's friend across the street."

Acrossed is a misspelling of the word, across or probably the inappropriateness of the attempted past tense structure. It should be avoided by all possible means in writings, publications etc
