• In the garden: New varieties of flowering shrub can’t beat the old-fashioned version
  New varieties of shrubs gardeners have known for decades come on the market every year. The hydrangea, for example, now includes dozens of new varieties in different sizes and colors.  The same is true of the Weigela. Though many newer varieties of this shrub have appeared, I still like the old-fashioned Weigela florida.
