Metro’s rail alert system irk riders MINNEAPOLIS — The Star Tribune reported that Northstar Commuter line riders are complaining about the system’s electronic alerts, which they said are uninformative and sometimes arrive too late to be useful. Some riders also told the paper that they received the same alert message several times.
