Tom Hanks has signed on to play a headlining role in an upcoming adaptation of Dave Eggers' novel A Hologram for the King . Variety reports that Hanks will re-team with his Cloud Atlas director Tom Tykwer (who co-directed that film with Lana and Andy Wachowski).
