  Ronald Ward, of Ward Family Farms, feeds corn to his Rhode Island Red hens as he does his morning rounds on the farm. Ward raises chickens, beef cattle, hay and produce on farmland that has been in his family for six generations before him.

• 'One-eyed illegal chicken' subject of grandmother's indictment
  A woman was indicted last week for illegally keeping chickens within Burley city limits. An animal control representative noticed two chickens, a one-eyed white silky and Rhode Island red, on her land and told her get rid of them. She was not happy.
