An overcaffeinated and underdiscerning press has become complicit in the horse-race presidency.
And considering what's happening off paper, it might be time to ask the question the horse-race-loving media are never supposed to ask: Is McCain a no-shot?.
Or did the media rely too heavily on things like horse-race narratives? Well, there's still a huge emphasis on the horse-race part, and I don't know if that will ever change.
