- Meetings in Ocracoke, Avon about beach access
Public information meetings about improved access to Cape Hatteras National Seashore will be held next week in Avon and Ocracoke. Meetings will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, at the Avon Fire Hall on Hatteras Island, and from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, at the Ocracoke School on Ocracoke Island.
