Jefferson Lab in Newport News tests sirens NEWPORT NEWS The Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility will test its tornado warning siren today. The test, scheduled for 10:30 a.m., may be heard by people living and working near the facility, according to a news release. It will last from 30 seconds to three minutes and will include a wavering tone.
