• Cornell History: Bucky’s Big Red geodesic
  A 20-foot sphere erected on Rand Hall’s roof as a giant model of Earth “astonished the campus!” the Cornell Alumni News reports. R. Buckminster Fuller, visiting architecture critic, had architectural design students build the “geodesic” to illustrate his principles of construction.
