Fendermen legend Jim Sundquist, 75, dies Jim Sundquist, who soared to stardom in 1960 as one half of the Fendermen with the hit song, "Mule Skinner Blues", has died of cancer at age 75. The Fendermen -- Sundquist and Phil Humphrey -- got their start in Madison in 1958.
