  • Bomber heads to Cedar Creek Lake
    A B-25 bomber plane takes off from the Athens Jet Center heading towards Cedar Creek Lake to fly in Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake. The plane was used in 1942 during World War II. The B-25 first gained fame as the bomber used in the April 18, 1942 Doolittle Raid in which 16 B-25Bs led by  Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle attacked mainland Japan four months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
