• School board approves pay raises for teachers and other employees
  Teachers, administrators and classified staff in the Lawrence school district will get an average 3-percent pay raise next year, plus modest increases in some fringe benefits. The school board plans to fund the increases by spending down cash reserves. By Peter Hancock
