    Bernard Ouimet was born in a small town called St-Jacques-le-Mineur, south east of Montreal, where he grew up on a farm. In 1952, his family moved to the U.S. and he eventually ended up in Cohoes. A former American history teacher at Cohoes Middle School, he has been a church organist and choir director for 50 years. He is also president of the Franco-American Federation of NY.
