Okay, what if Johnny Manziel hadn't played for Texas A&M in 2012? Sept. 8: Jameill Showers , Texas A&M starting quarterback. We shouldn't assume Showers would've been a terrible downgrade. He would've been an above-average quarterback at worst, one who would've scored many touchdowns for Kevin Sumlin's air raid on SEC defenses.
